Every Vietnam eVisa price you will see anywhere online is made of two separate parts, and it is worth understanding the split before you compare providers.

The government portion is identical no matter who submits your application. It is charged the moment the application is filed and it is never returned — not if the application is refused, not if you made a typo, not if you cancel your trip. This catches out a lot of people who assume a rejection means a refund. It does not, and that rule comes from the government rather than from any agency.
The rest is what you are paying us for: someone reads your documents before submission, files them on the official portal, watches the application, and answers you on WhatsApp when something looks wrong. On the faster tiers you are also paying for priority handling, which is where most of the price difference between rows in the table above comes from.
Most people overpay or underpay here, and both are avoidable. Your flight date decides the tier, not how urgent it feels. A rough guide:
The rush clock starts when your documents are complete, not when you pay. If the passport photo is blurred at the corners, or the entry port is missing, or the portrait has a shadow across the face, the countdown does not begin until that gap is closed. This is by far the most common reason a rush order lands later than the customer expected, and it is why we ask for your flight time upfront rather than after payment.
Weekends run on a different channel. Weekend applications are not processed in the normal weekday queue, which is why the weekend rate sits well above every weekday tier. If your flight is on a Monday, filing on Friday morning at rush price is almost always cheaper than paying weekend rates — and rebooking a flight to a Saturday in the hope of buying processing time does not work.
A few charges get confused with the visa fee, so to be clear about what you do not owe:
One warning worth stating plainly: a number of look-alike sites charge $80–$100, submit a plain standard application, and give you nothing beyond what the government portal already does. You can apply directly at the official portal, evisa.gov.vn, for the government fee alone. For a traveller with a simple case, plenty of time, and no rush, that is a perfectly reasonable choice and we will say so.

The honest way to frame the difference: you are paying roughly the price of an airport meal to remove the chance of losing a non-refundable government fee to a small mistake, and to have someone reachable if the portal misbehaves. If your trip is weeks away and your case is straightforward, that insurance may not be worth it to you. If you are flying soon, or your last attempt already failed, it usually is. If we fail to process your application because of an error on our side, we refund 100% of the service fee. The government fee of $25–$50 cannot be included, because it has already been paid to the Vietnam Immigration Department and is not reclaimable by anyone.
If an application is refused because of information the applicant supplied — a wrong passport number, a name that does not match the passport, an unsuitable photo — the government fee is lost and a new application is required. Yes. Vietnam charges the same eVisa fee for every applicant regardless of age, and each child needs their own separate application and their own passport. There is no family rate.
If you have already paid the government fee on the portal and your application is stuck rather than refused, tell us before ordering. Depending on the state of the case, the fix may not require a new submission at all. We would rather sort it out than sell you something you do not need.
Mostly because of what happens after you pay. The government fee is fixed for everyone; the variable is whether anyone reviews your documents, whether a human answers when a problem appears, and how quickly the application is actually pushed. Paying more does not automatically buy any of that, which is why the comparison worth making is on the service rather than the number.
