Vietnam eVisa During the National Day Holiday: Rush Processing Is Still Available

In short: Vietnam Immigration is closed from Saturday 29 August through Wednesday 2 September, reopening Thursday 3 September. Standard applications will not move during these 5 days. However, we can still process urgent cases during the holiday through our holiday rush service: submit before 2:00 PM Vietnam time and you receive your result the same evening, after 5:30 PM. This applies both to new applications and to applications already stuck on the government portal.
The closure dates
Saturday 29 August to Wednesday 2 September — National Day. Five consecutive days closed. Offices reopen Thursday 3 September. Applications submitted through the government portal during this window sit in the queue untouched until reopening, and the days do not count as processing days.
What this means for your application
Processing times are counted in working days, and closed days do not count. A standard application submitted on Friday 28 August will not begin moving until Thursday 3 September — five calendar days of nothing happening, through no fault of the application itself.
The exception is holiday rush processing. A limited team continues handling urgent cases through the holiday, which is why we can still deliver results during the closure — but capacity is reduced and hours are strict. Cases received before 2:00 PM Vietnam time are processed the same day, with results returned after 5:30 PM. Cases arriving after 2:00 PM need to be confirmed with us first before you pay anything — message us and we will tell you honestly whether same-day is still possible.
Holiday rush service: 29 August – 2 September
If you are flying during or right after the holiday and do not have a visa yet, we can handle the complete application for you during the closure: $199 single entry or $239 multiple entry, all fees included. Submit your passport scan and photo before 2:00 PM Vietnam time and you receive the approved eVisa the same evening.
If you already applied on the government portal and your application is stuck — still Processing, or showing an error — we can push your existing application through during the holiday for $169. We only need your registration code, the email you applied with, and your date of birth. Do not submit a second application; that creates a duplicate record and slows everything down.
If you are entering after 5 September and are not in a hurry, you do not need the rush service. Apply normally, but expect a backlog in the first days after reopening — everything held over the holiday is released at once on 3 September, so build in a few extra days.
If your application is already stuck
If you have already applied, your status has not changed, and your flight falls inside the closure period — message us with your registration code and flight date. We will check where your application actually is and tell you whether the $169 holiday push will get it cleared before your flight. If it cannot be done in time, we will tell you that too, before you pay anything.
